NDIS FAQS

What is an NDIS plan?

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS) works with you to develop an individual plan that details the services you require and who will get NDIS funding. You have a choice and control over the assistance you receive and the services you employ.

What will the NDIs plan cover?

The NDIS will pay for various service requirements for different persons in order for them to acquire more independence in their daily lives. It might involve

  • Getting involved in the community and finding work
  • Finding the assistance you require
  • Obtaining the necessary equipment and aids

Are there any support services that NDIS will not pay for?

Yes, there are some assistance that the NDIS does not cover; these are things that do not help you with your disability. Food, power, or other services that are already financed by other organisations, for example.

How will my NDIS fund be managed?

You have three options:

  • do it on your own,
  • contact Cali Care for support
  • request assistance from the NDIA.

You can also use a mix of these three.

Can I get help with the planning?

For further information, consult the working plan book. It is available at: www.ndis.gov.au/participants/planning-process. Please contact us if you require any extra assistance or have any questions.
